The Great Hangover of 2008…

…is today. If there was a reliable machine to measure productivity, I would love to turn it on today in workplaces across America. Since no such tool exists, I am going to wander around my office suite, talk loudly, sabotage the coffeemaker and hide the Diet Coke. This has nothing to do with who won the election. Let’s just call it an exercise in sociology.

I have about a hundred things I want to write about right now, but I am saving them for later. For now, congratulations to President-elect Obama. Let’s all do our best to embrace the non-cynicism for awhile.

UPDATE:  There were lots of smiles in the office today (and a few grimaces), but no real hangover evidence.
