Iridium 65

For about two years just after I graduated from college (1997), I cut my management consulting/software development teeth for Accenture (Andersen Consulting at the time) on the Iridium project. Long story short, it was about the best project I could have asked for. Fantastic group of people, many of whom are still good friends today. Most of all, I learned more in those two years than I thought possible.

But I digress…I thought of Iridium due to the satellite collision that hit the news recently. Originally, the constellation was to have 77 satellites (Iridium is number 77 on the Periodic Table), but they figured out they could do it with only 66. At least the constellation no longer has satanic connotations. I need to shut down this post fast before more nostalgia leaks from my keyboard.
